Practice Area -- Pro Bono Services

The attorneys at Spinella & Associates have represented numerous clients without pay or with reduced pay throughout the years, in furtherance of their commitment to enhancing availability of legal services to the poor and others to whom such services would otherwise be unavailable.

They have also joined many groups which support philanthropic and charitable causes. For example, Attorney Jaffe is currently on the Development Council to Camp Courant, which provides free day camp throughout the summer to all Hartford children from ages 5 to 12, and he has also been active in cerebral palsy housing issues and numerous other community causes.

Throughout his career, Attorney Spinella has devoted his time to criminal defense causes of special public defendant appointments, as well as advisory and Bar Association committees which have enhanced criminal defendant and prisoner rights throughout the state and the country.

Additionally, both Attorneys Spinella & Associates have donated significant legal work to causes of the Connecticut Civil Liberties Union. Attorney Jaffe is currently Treasurer of its state Board of Directors.

Additionally, they feel that they have an obligation in regard to the dissemination of information to strive to enlighten the public, and hopefully enhance the rights of private citizens.
