Area -- Miscellaneous & Of Counsel
Spinella & Associates pledge to represent clients in all courts, in a wide variety of
matters. As such, they also handle miscellaneous contract disputes and
other court-related matters. To ensure a full range of representation
for their clients, including many areas which do not require court appearances,
they also utilize several outside counsel in the areas of divorce, taxes,
real estate, trusts and estates, eldercare, Title XIX issues, and certain
commercial disputes.
One
of these attorneys, Justin Donnelly,
is Of Counsel with Spinella & Associates, which means that he is affiliated
with the firm, although not a member of it, for the purpose of assisting
it in his areas of expertise (which include family law and complex civil
litigation) when called upon to do so.
Additionally,
Spinella & Associates handle a wide range of appellate work ranging from criminal
to civil appeals in state and federal court. They have brought numerous
appeals on behalf of a diverse range of clients throughout the years,
who have often come to them upon referral by their trial advocates.
Other miscellaneous areas
in which Spinella & Associates provides services to clients include the following:
- divorce
and domestic relations
- trusts
and estates
- real
estate
- taxation
- eldercare
and Title XIX
- complex
commercial litigation
- collections
- criminal
and civil appellate work
- alternative
dispute resolution
In
fact, Spinella & Associates are particularly experienced in successfully
utilizing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as arbitration
and mediation to arrive at favorable results for their clients. In the
Jones' case, for example (see list of representative FIRM
CASES), comprehensive mediation material developed specifically for
ADR proceedings, combined with a "day in the life" video, were utilized
at a mediation conference to obtain a substantial settlement.
