Social Media – not just for kids anymore

Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, three of the top social media networks, are all the rage these days. Unless you’ve lived under a rock for the past year or so chances are you heard of these sites and maybe even signed up for an account.

Britney is hiring – celebrities make use of social networking sites

If you went to Harvard you might have a chance to manage the pop-princess’  online properties, i.e. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.

Brandcasting Unlimited, Britney’s online manager, posted the job listing for “Britney Spears 2.0 Media Manager” on a Harvard-only private job board.

Among the required job skills: You must be addicted to social networking. Boy, that’s demanding.

Search Engine Optimization

If your company web site is not listed on the first page of results returned by Google or other search engines your chances of getting found are pretty slim. In a study conducted by Jupiter Research findings showed that web surfers just don’t click to the next page of the returned search results. Rather, they abandon the search and rephrase the search terms or switch to another search engine.
